Non-stop Richterswil, Switzerland to Kanchanaburi, Thailand
2 long flights, an easy airport-city-link transfer, a one-station BTS hop to Victory Monument, a wild 2.5 hour mini bus (110 Baht p/p) and a short exhilarating tuk tuk ride deliver us to a raft-house on the languid waters of the Kwai river. Exactly 22 and three quarter hours after pick up in the cold grey of a Swiss winter morning.
14 hours of sleep restore us to some semblance of ourselves, but only just. Taking time to acclimatize to the light, the colors, the otherness…..
