Getting to Like Kanchanaburi

We said goodbye to dreamy Sangkhlaburi

and found a temporary home in Kanchanaburi again.

Kanchanburi is growing on us! As are the delicious 40 B vegetarian dishes at On’s Thai Issan. Our Guesthouse, the Thai Garden Inn offers just about everything a contemporary traveler could want. And for the ultimate in pampering, there’s Suan Nanachat Spa. I spent three soothing hours there: hot herbal treatment, steam room and facial added up to 1000 B including free taxi both ways, (a 10-15 minute trip). I’d go again tomorrow!

It was excursion day again yesterday. We actually got to see a  Cave Temple, after having stumbled around blindly in our first, Sawanbundan Cave, due to no flashlight.
